I provided this video for the ones who are lazy to read a thorough review. However in the video it is not as detailed as in the article.
Hello every bodyyyy!!! Welcome to Ayish's Funday Food Review!! I'm so excited for today's review as we are going on an expedition of food hunt! Literally one of my favourite things to fill in my leisure time. So, today I'll be taking you guys to a small yet cosy cafe located in Kota Laksamana, Malacca. The location is only 20 minutes away from where I live (Ayer Keroh). It is that near that I have been here many times that now, my wallet has been screaming Help! Help! Help! as in a warning for me to stop going on a food hunt because the wallet keep on getting thinner every time I went out.

Since it's a cafe the price starts from RM$$, which to me is a reasonable yet affordable price. I have been to this cafe for quite some time, and every time I'm here my order would always be the same. So without further or do let's start the review!

Cheesy Bomb Burger - RM25
This is my favourite order of all time, every time I go to this beautiful cafe, Cheesy Bomb Burger would be my go-to meal. It is very simple yet so filling. It is deep-fried chicken thigh coated with homemade melted cheese sauce, topped with sliced cheese and sunny-side egg served with french fries on the side. If you are a big eater like me, this should be on your list. The chicken thigh is so big, well coated and well cook, once you bite into the burger you can taste that so crispy on the outside yet soooo juicy on the inside, writing this alone has made my mouth watered just because it leaves that sweet mark in your life. For the price, I would say that it is affordable and worth a try since it is not like your regular and boring Spicy Chicken McD*luxe... Oops.. hehe.

Crabmeat Linguine - RM25
Let's start from the look itself. The first thought that came to my mind when it arrived was bland. As in if the word bland is a physical thing it would be this meal. Seeing that there are not enough colours and textures going on the plate make me disappointed because I really want it to be good. Even thinking about how this spaghetti is the same price as the humungous burger makes me relieved that I did not order this. THANK GOD!. So, looks aside, the first bite went in. Boom! My thought was right. It is bland. I wanted to give it a second chance by having a second bite and Boom! Bland again, over and over. However, it is still edible it just lacks taste for me, and I would not recommend you to order this if you are truly hungry because you might turn into a Hulk, you know that feeling when you are hungry and the food is just not giving? such a mood killer.

Gyudon Rice Bowl (Beef ) - RM20
Gyudon is a really famous meal in Japan, Gyū (Beef) don (Bowl) In Japanese. It is a stir-fried Australian beef slice, tomato and onion in homemade sweet-savoury sauce served with a sunny-side-up egg and spring onion. Seeing this meal truly reminds me of the Gyudon I had back in Sukiya. The real question here will it be as good as Sukiya's though? I proceeded to give it a taste. It was good but it does not have a wow factor. I wish it has more flavour. For a cafe that does not come from a Japanese background they definitely serve a good bowl of Gyudon. Eating this makes me feel at home as it is comfort food.
RATINGS:
Plating : 3.5/10
Taste : 6/10
Price : 6/10
After trying the food we have ordered, it is truly a good experience, this cafe for me is a must-try, at least once in your lifetime. It is very hard to find a cafe that serves good food yet is still affordable in Malacca. Grounded 22 is definitely one of them.
